Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 1 Corinthians 15:24, NIV
When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15:28, NIV
Many look, rightfully, to the 1,000 year reign of Christ. He will complete the Kingdom of David. There is much about this wonderful time, such as in Isaiah 11. What is obscure is what takes place after this future period. For although the millennium is a time of peace, it is an enforced peace, kept that way with rods of iron.
This period ends in rebellion after Satan is released and the great multitudes of the unrighteous are destroyed. Tares growing for all this time, under perfect conditions, have not changed their identity. With Satan bound and Christ on the throne, they have not become wheat.
People in this time have long life spans, but they still die. This is not to always be true. After what is called the Final Rebellion, death will be no more. Evil will be no more.
In English class we were told that you cannot have a story without dramatic conflict. This may be true in literature, but a time over a thousand years from now is coming where there will be no conflict. I look forward to such a wonderful time.
