The Healing of the Nations

And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2

Boy, is this a neglected passage! Have you ever heard a sermon on these trees? And if so, was it talking about literal trees, with literal fruit and leaves?

Must be symbolic. And why talk about it at all? This is the province of the spiritualizing boys, and they seem to neglect getting around to it. Too, too, bad, because it is such a delightful promise!

The earth is so polluted that what was created to give us life is killing us instead. Let me list some of the ways that the polluted earth is now being poisoned.

• Number one in my knowledge is nuclear radiation. Our gene pool is being degraded, and these alterations do not go away, but are passed on to succeeding generations.
• Two is atmospheric spraying, or chem trails. Among the many ingredients of these is aluminum in nano sized particles. Free, uncombined, aluminum is doing great harm to our brains and neural systems.
• Three, chemical pollution of our air, water, and food.
• Four, genetically modified food crops, which our bodies are not able to properly use.

Blissful, innocent, or preoccupied people may not think about these things, but they are deadly and require a cure which God alone can provide.

So what about "the tree"? Since it grows on both sides of the river, it is not just one tree, but a variety of trees, bearing healing fruits and leaves that have the power to heal.

There are many woes in the book of Revelation, but we should not dwell only on them. In the end we find their effects cured by the promised Tree of Life.

Swords into Plowshares, Plowshares Into Swords

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!" Joel 3:10

They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Micah 4:3

These passages might seem contradictory. In fact they are, if the vital element of time is ignored. For there will come a time for rearmament, after the disarmament so desired by the coming world leader. For a time will come when Israel will seem helpless in the face of a great invasion. But God will defeat this great enemy and make his people strong.

How can we know that Israel will be disarmed? It has been already, under the rule of the Philistines. And in the future they will have to make their weapons from farm implements. Every disarmed nation faces defeat or domination by their own government.

Why such primitive weapons? Because our "wonderful" killing technology is doomed to fail. We began with swords and spears and soon we will return to them. They will be the last earthly weapons. War, then peace.

The future looks very good for blacksmiths.

A Child's Questions About What We Will Do in Heaven

If you try to find what the "experts" know about heaven, it can be disappointing. Ever notice how many times there are experts on subjects that no one knows much about?

The subject in mind is, "What will we do in heaven?" I don't need to know, or God would have told us. But, as I am getting ready to go there, I have a deep desire to know.

Experts (who apparently have knowledge unavailable to us) say brilliant things like "serve". That doesn't help much. It is so generic. I mean, serve how?

My first question is, how will it be when we first arrive? My only guide from this world is the reception center in the Army, but that is awful.

Revelation has a wonderful clue--the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Eating together in heaven. How delightful.

I'm a slow eater (I blab too much), but imagine a huge feast surrounded by our loved ones and hosted by Jesus.

In my imagination, our pets would be there.

"Here _______, try some of this. I don't know what it is, but it sure is good."

In my dreams there would be time for us to just get used to being there, time for shattered childhoods to be repaired, and failed hopes to be fulfilled. A lot of "compensating" is in order. No more aching hearts. We are in heaven now.

After getting to know our surroundings, how will we serve? Will we have earthly assignments?

How wonderful to be like Gabriel, a messenger from heaven to Earth. We could get an assignment to fly to earth to comfort and instruct someone during the millennium.

Will there be bosses (nice ones) who tell us what to do? Perhaps a giant, pearly board posted with jobs to do. "Needed: someone to ________."

Will the Spiritual gifts still be valid, as when on earth?

My dream would be for us to gather to view the face of God, as David wished to do, when he awoke (Psalm 17:15), then go for a long walk with all those we have lost, in a beautiful, heavenly, garden of Eden.

Foolish, uninformed questions--most of them. But what do you expect from a child, even a 79 year old one?

Word of Faith Movement, Tongues Movement, and a Whole Lot More, Examined Through the Word of God

I cannot recommend a better source to expose the above false teachings than the video linked below. If I could, I would. For example, Justin Peters does the finest job on tongues that I have ever heard, and I have heard a lot of them.

Just as a medical doctor fights disease by first learning as much as he can about it, so Christians can battle false teachings by studying them. If you do not watch the tv channels that promote these departures from scripture, or read the terrible books that do, you will find that they are examined and refuted in Justin's video.

He is somber in his basic approach, but has a marvelous, ironic, sense of humor also. Every one of his words is printed at the bottom of the screen to aid the hard of hearing. Besides containing valuable insights from the Bible, his approach is quiet and thoughtful. This video is pleasant to watch and to listen to.

The Dagger vs. Fifteen Years of Bombing

What a horrible, barbaric image! A man decapitated with a knife. What kind of people would sanction such brutality?

Why don't they learn from the USA? Here, you decapitate with BOMBS. You poison an entire country with depleted uranium which causes monstrously deformed babies. If you have someone you do not like, you fly them to a country that specializes in torture.

I saw a film of a morgue that contained bombing victims--victims of our bombs. Most of the dead were women and children. There were women together with their babies, and young children.

The fact that this still unresolved "war" was not declared by congress is of no matter. What does matter is that we kill innocent people with planes, artillery, and poison. The point being that we do not use knives. One American killed with a knife is far, far worse than hundreds of people in a country which we have designated as the "enemy".

When Saddam Hussein was in power, there were 19 Christian churches in Baghdad. How many do you think there are now?

The story that Hussein's head was pulled off when he was dropped too far in hanging is probably just a made up story. We should forget it.

"Our boys" are protecting us in many remote regions. The fact that these places either have oil or are the locations of potential oil pipelines is just an amazing coincidence. Our State Department's great big heart yearns to make these places free. Some day they may even make the US free.

One of my favorite military historians, Thomas Chittum, states, "America was born in blood and will die in blood." While we are slaughtering innocent people around the world, we are dying from within. President Lincoln said America will never be conquered from without. We will fall from internal causes. I feel the USA is dead already, and we are slowly decomposing.

This is only remotely of interest to me. As a citizen of heaven, I concentrate on my homeland.

On Bellowing Preachers

Soft is the music that would charm forever.

Just heard a recording of a much younger Chuck Swindoll. His pulpit must have had a great audio system. It didn't distort him at all when he began to bellow.

Now Chuck should know better. He is good at preaching the Word. He even yells like a pro, though I like him a lot more when his voice is at an even keel. In fact, his message on self confidence could have been spoken quite softly.

I was driving with a friend, many moons ago. He was dialing for some music when he came across a frenetic preacher. He turned the volume way up so that the gasping man sounded even worse, not realizing that he was using the same tactics as the man on the air.

Some men of God catch on, lower the volume and learn to communicate with a normal voice. John McGee began as a yeller, but toned it down when he became a teacher. This latter became his greatest career, and his recordings are, thankfully, still on the air.

Is it the perception of the screamers that we are so dense and asleep that theatrics are needed to get our attention and prove their points?

McGee told of a New York City cab driver who tuned him in by accident and made a habit of listening to him just because he sounded like a yokel. But because of his quiet, conversational tone, the cabbie began to listen to his Bible teaching. Would anyone have done this to someone yelling?

We're not in basic training (and I don't see why it is needed there), we are rational beings. Of course, Chuck knows his congregation better than I do.

Gone Fission, There's a Sign Upon the Door

A friend recently told me about his worst fears, learned from watching TV. They were about a personality he had seen portrayed as a monster. Monsters calling others monsters! This is a classic case of misdirection by media. "Don't look at me, look at him!"

I have zero faith in corporate media to tell the truth. I have no TV set. Through the wonders of the Internet, I find a whole world of knowledge. True, it is a mixed bag, but that is because it is free. Anyone can post almost anything there. You have to sort it out. I love to sort it out.

Here is a simple test of the two mediums. See which one will tell you of the threats posed by corporations and your corporate-owned government. Only the Internet will.

To the TV people who frightened my friend, the enemy is some remote person or place that we need to spend billions of dollars to kill. I saw a video of a wedding reception, filled with joy, right up until everyone there was killed by a drone strike. Reason given: there might have been a suspected terrorist in the wedding party! None of them should have been killed, but they all were.

According to General Curtis Lemay, "There are no innocent civilians." Is there a bloodier nation on earth than the one in which I am writing this?

About the test, if you have not heard about the ongoing disaster of Fukushima, you have been relying on Big Media. They reported on the initial event. They could not cover it up. But who reports on it thoroughly and what government monitors and reports the truth about this horrible disaster? Which source brings you Helen Caldicot, Chris Busby, Arnie Gunderson, or Lauren Moret?

Our controlled media is owned and run by some really evil people. They are not Arabs, or Muslims, or any other people we wish to vilify and destroy. Who are they?
