You know you are dealing with a non Bible person when you hear this one. To them, it does not matter whether something is plainly in the Word of God or not. You have committed the sin of opting out (as if it was your choice) from the fate of the damned.
Aren't we all in this together? You have invented a way to get out of the world when things get really bad. Maybe you got it from the Scofield Study Bible?
I feel unusually generous today, so I will agree with these mal-thinkers that the Rapture is a way to get out of the world. But God invented it and put it into his book from Genesis to Revelation.

I mean, we've got people to scare, and buildings to create! If anyone believes in such an escape as God has promised, he simply cannot be relied on for such activities.
