The Death of Death

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1 Cor. 15:26

I'm sure I told you of a group who heard these word's and gasped, "death an enemy?" Isn't it amazing how many people know more than Paul?

Nice people, too, but nice people are often the hardest to reach. Wouldn't be surprised to hear their excuse, "the preacher never told us about that one." The "preacher only" crowd are to be pitied.

Young people often explain their ignorance of a subject by saying that "they didn't teach us that in school." I guess it's the teacher's fault, as if all learning stops when you get out of school.

A simple concordance search of "death" is very helpful. Of course it is only for the strong--those who are willing to depart from the traditional teaching of the corporate church. Few are. I understand how people work all week and on Sunday want to relax and listen to someone that they hire, to think for them.

But the Word tells us of a glorious day when death its self shall die, never to return again.

  1. The corporate church. I like it. Work all week to have someone think for them while they pay for it. I have seen the light. I study, read and pray more now than I ever did when I went to corporate church. My study and prayer time is so much more intense and meaningful now since I left the corporate church.
