"Don't you mean, "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree"? That certainly is true regarding the direction of growth. But some poor Christians are not bent, they are broken. They are not in danger of twisted growth, but of no growth at all.
Please don't turn me off as if this was a criticism of these people. The message I mean to convey is one of encouragement.
Almost anyone can take advantage of the greatest resources ever, to study and communicate the Bible. I have seen a preacher give up his position, once he departed from religion, to follow the Bible. People I love dearly have left a non-teaching corporate church because it was so sterile that they got nothing from it.
Don't let them bend you. Don't let them break you. A family church or home church can be free. Do not believe anything a religion or a church tells you, unless it is in the Bible.
Some day we Christians will have our works judged. When this happens, your churches, your priests, your "reverends" will not come to your defense. They will be busy having their own works judged.
