For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2
In the Word, eternal life is contrasted with death. How could it be more simple? The opposite of eternal life is eternal death. Not eternal torment of your immortal soul. To suffer forever one must live forever. Living forever, even in torment, is not eternal death.
Oh, the dodges and deliberate mistranslations that are used in the attempt to promote the evil torture theory!
There is much to rejoice over though. A quick search online shows that people are catching on. A man said that Reformation was not a one time event. It is rather a continuous process. Just as we take a series of baths to keep clean, we must continually wash away the contamination by the world, and worldly churches, of pure Bible doctrine.
For those who follow the teaching of men rather than the Bible, there is a revealing study by Joseph Dear, called, The Bible Teaches Annihilationism. It is long, but packed with great texts and ideas.
I should warn that those who believe this upsetting doctrine are considered dangerous. I should know, I am one of them.
